Introduction

As a health psychologist, I have worked with many patients with complex medical and mental health needs. I am trained in CBT-I (cognitive behavioral therapy for insomnia), CBT-CP (cognitive behavioral therapy for chronic pain) and several other treatments with strong research evidence. In addition to sleep and pain, I love working with patients to help improve their eating behaviors, live well with chronic illnesses, and find ways to live a life they value. My approach is not one size fits all. I take the tools and strategies that research shows us are effective and work with my clients to develop an individualized plan. My goal is to help people make long-lasting changes, and I have been honored to work with many clients to improve their wellbeing over my years of clinical practice. Throughout my career, I have received clinical training in a variety of settings including Banner University Medical Center, HealthSouth Rehabilitation Hospital, and the ASU Counseling Center. I completed my internship and postdoctoral training in Health Psychology at the Phoenix VA Medical Center. I received my doctorate from ASU’s Clinical Psychology program, and am licensed in the state of Arizona.
