My name is Shannon (she/her/hers). I have more than a decade of experience as a therapist and I am passionate about helping my clients make meaningful changes in their lives. I use a trauma informed and strengths-based approach to support my adult and teen clients. I believe you are the expert on you and I strive to meet you where you are to support your individual needs and goals. I specialize in treating anxiety, obsessive compulsive disorder, and support clients who are struggling with life transitions. I have training and experience in Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) for treating OCD, as well as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), mindfulness techniques, and person centered therapy. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in the states of Pennsylvania and Maryland and a National Certified Counselor. I graduated in 2011 with a Master of Science in Counseling Psychology from Frostburg State University in Frostburg, Maryland.
