I started training Basic Life Support and Mountain Rescue, Search and Rescue, Wilderness Survival, and Wilderness Medicine. I served 2 years as an EMT, volunteering with local fire and medical teams in the Tri-Cities. Received a BS in Psychology with focus in Child and Adolescent Psychology with Addiction Studies Professional Certificate, and BA in Criminal Justice with a minor in Political Science. I then served as a deputy for Franklin County Sheriff’s Office Correctional Center. After a year and learning my son struggled with autism, I went back to school earning an MA in Marriage and Family Counseling and recently finished my MS in Clinical Mental Health Counseling with focus in trauma. I spent 3 years working as a Designated Crisis Responder, responding with the Mobile Outreach Team with law enforcement, and then responding directly from the Crisis Center. For the last 4 years I have worked as a therapist specializing in neurodivergence, trauma, and first responders. I am CISM certified in both individual and group, and a Mental Health First Aid instructor. I am a nationally board-certified counselor and carry an international certification, nationally certified first responder mental health specialist, as an autism specialist as well as mental health coach. I have been married for 18 years, I have 3 boys, all of whom are neurodivergent, and a small farm that keeps us busy.
