Introduction

My counseling approach would best be described as client-centered, strength-based with a focus on behavioral and cognition-oriented. My approach stems from the idea that you the client will determine the focus and the best way to approach them that works best in their sessions. I pull from different theoretical orientations including Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Reality Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing (MI). I believe that the client is the expert of their story and focusing on their perspective and their strengths will give them the skills they need to achieve their desired outcome.
