I am a woman and a clinician who trained in psychology in three different countries (Italy, the United Kingdom and the United States). Through my professional and personal experience, I became interested in the way our cultural and ethnic background affect our emotional wellbeing, as well as in the challenges that adapting to a new country implies. I strive to see my clients' experiences from their point of view and to validate how social injustice contributes to individual suffering. I work from an attachment theory framework, and see my clients' struggles as a response to living difficult experiences without adequate emotional support from others. I believe that all human beings have a desire to be connected to others. Through my therapeutic work with my clients, I honor this desire and help my clients discover their agency and embrace emotionally fulfilling relationships.
