What I have found to be the most rewarding during my work as a therapist is the ability to help others gain the confidence to break through mental barriers and overcome life challenges. By becoming more self-aware and awakened to the "chattering" of the mind that we so often mistake for reality, you are able to open yourself up to a whole new world of insight. These new insights then allow a better understanding of how thought processes about the self and the world we live in influence our daily lives. I am Comprehensively trained in Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy and am receiving ongoing training and supervision towards certification in EMDR. These models produce an increased understanding and awareness of our thoughts, emotions, and behavior. We will work collaboratively in helping you feel more empowered to cope and engage more proactively in life. I believe successful and meaningful counseling begins and ends with the amount of trust a client has in their therapist; as well as the significance a therapist places on the client being involved in the process of setting goals for treatment.
