LGBTQIA+ & Gender Counseling Specialist Mockingbird Counseling
Specialties: Transgender Issues, LGBTQIA+, Anxiety, Depression

Introduction

Hi there! My name is Scout Kopech and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in the State of Ohio who specializes in LGBTQIA+ Counseling & Gender issues. As a queer transwoman, I am personally aware of the unique challenges faced by the LGBTQIA+ community. I am passionate about serving this community and helping each of us find our most authentic selves. I want to give you a safe and accepting space where you can feel comfortable exploring who you are and want to be. I also work with families and friends of LGBTQIA+ individuals gain a greater understanding of what it's like to be LGBTQIA+ and how you can provide support, acceptance, and love. I work with all folks too on anxiety, depression, and attention/focus issues! Therapy can be expensive, but I want to work with you to find a way to make it a valuable and affordable part of your self-care routine. I offer sliding-scale pricing for clients based on need and case complexity. My approach to therapy is highly individualized to your goals and needs. I work with LGBTQIA+ individuals from an affirmative and supportive framework that allows for greater self-understanding and self-acceptance of sexual orientation and gender. I provide letters of support for gender-affirming care, and will work to help you find authenticity. I believe that everyone-regardless of race, gender, or sexual orientation-deserves to find their authentic self. In this world of disquiet, hate, and discrimination I can give you the space to work on the challenges you face openly and honestly. No matter the issues you might face, I want to help you find the life and the happiness you deserve!
