Greetings! My name is Scott Heider, and welcome to Hope in the Wilderness Counseling Services. I started Hope in the Wilderness Counseling in an effort to provide hope and healing to those suffering from a mental health and or a substance use disorder, or from a spiritual/faith related concern. Since 2011, I have been helping individuals, couples, and families break free from the obstacles that have been holding them back and keeping them from the life they want. Regardless of where life finds you, Hope in the Wilderness Counseling Services can help. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), a Credentialed Alcohol and Substance Abuse Counselor (T), and a Christian Counselor. I have been privileged to work in a multitude of healthcare settings, including inpatient and outpatient Behavioral Health, Emergency Services, outpatient Substance Use Treatment, Medical Oncology, and a Veterans hospital. I understand the challenges and pain of this life and I can help you and your loved ones find a way through your pain and on to the path of healing and recovery.
