Savilla Davis earned her Master’s of Marriage and Family therapy with honors from The King’s University in Southlake Texas. She specializes in trauma work and is working on becoming EMDR certified in the near future. Savilla’s clinical experience includes working with trauma, anxiety, depression, dissociation, anger, and adjustment disorders with adolescents, and teenagers. Her experience working with underprivileged youth and families in Dallas and Plano involved connecting them to local resources and assisting them to sort through their traumas and roadblocks that impeded their personal growth. Savilla believes therapy should be a partnership where each person is on equal footing with one another, and the job of a counselor is first to seek to understand the client’s perspective before their own. As humans, we not only value but need a true connection to foster healing and growth, and to help others be seen and understood is her greatest privilege. The greatest changes that occur within a person often come from quiet moments of reflection. Savilla enjoys writing, playing games with friends and family and is proud to be a self-proclaimed “coffee snob”
