Available this week
Specialties: Anxiety, Depression, Trauma, Adjustment Disorder, ADD/ADHD,

Introduction

Saumya started The I AM Project in 1998 to help children nurture a sense of self through the exploration of somatic and contemplative self-inquiry and play. In 2003, Saumya left the world of architecture and urban policy to focus on a path more aligned with her greater purpose. Saumya is a Licensed Mental Health Therapist, as well as a meditation/yoga teacher, working with individuals, couples and families with a focus on healing trauma through awareness. She finds it particularly important to approach the therapeutic relationship with sensitivity and respect for multi/cross-cultural factors, as well as with a clear anti-oppression approach as it relates to the equity of all beings. As a lifelong student of Hindu/Buddhist principles, she integrates mindfulness and embodiment practices to help us explore our own suffering. Her desire is to create healing communal spaces where all aspects of one’s being can feel safe to connect, explore, and achieve the outcomes important to them. She embodies and infuses curiosity and a sense of play to guide herself and others to self-discovery.
