Challenging life experiences can knock us off our course. We may find ourselves having difficulty navigating through heightened states of anxiety and the depths of depression. Or, we just need to be seen and heard. In this instance, therapy can be a refuge- a place to explore, observe, make sense of, find meaning in, and heal from pain we have long been carrying. We may experience a newfound state of peace as we gradually sit with, accept, let go, move forward, and reconnect with the sweetness of life. In joining clients as they navigate their journey of personal change and healing, I strive to help foster self-trust and strengthen inner knowing through building deeper self-awareness. Together, we will make space to uncover and release patterns that are no longer serving, cultivate compassion for the self in addition to others, and facilitate exciting transformations. I provide psychotherapy sessions to individuals in all phases of adulthood using an integrative approach. Integrative therapy draws from various therapy models, techniques, and methods. Having an eclectic and collaborative style allows for tailoring the therapy according to the needs and preferences of each individual as well as provide an array of tools to work with. I blend a humanistic stance with techniques from cognitive behavioral therapy, emotion focused and somatic therapy models, mindfulness based practices, psychodynamic therapy, and the expressive arts therapies. This means that I am here to support one's own unique process of change and hold each story with respect and care. My specialty areas include anxiety, depression, complex trauma, empathic overload and high sensitivity, women's mental health, working with creatives, intergenerational cycles, issues impacting first and second generation Americans, as well as bicultural stress and identity. Embracing diversity is a value that is close to my heart. I am an LGBTQIA+ ally. It is of deep importance to me to endeavor to create a safe, warm, and accepting space for all. Sessions are offered via telehealth to those who reside in either California or New York. Teletherapy has been shown to be just as effective as in-person therapy. Telehealth offers the convenience of being in the comfort of one's own space and avoiding long commutes to an office. Furthermore, as a provider who is licensed in both California and New York, individuals who are living a bicoastal life are able to have appointments in both locations. If you are interested in learning more, please feel free to reach out and schedule a complimentary 30 minute consultation. I look forward to connecting with you!
