"Mental health…is not a destination, but a process. It’s about how you drive, not where you’re going." — Noam Shpancer, PhD. Sometimes it feels like you fall down just when you were starting to feel like you're getting the hang of things. Struggling with depression, low self-esteem, anxiety, or relationships with friends/family can be exhausting when trying to deal with it on your own. Just know you don't have to. Therapy is a place for you to freely and safely express yourself. I like to revolve my therapy around focusing on the most pressing issue you are facing at the present moment. Whether that is helping with building coping skills, learning new CBT/DBT techniques, my focus is on helping you find a strategy that works for you personally. I became a therapist because I wanted to be able to support others who have struggled with the stigma revolved around mental health. You deserve to feel validated and heard. Coming to therapy is the best thing you can do for yourself when you feel like no one else understands.
