During my two years at Fordham University Graduate School of Social Service, I trained at Parent Child Resource Center (PCRC) and Yale New Haven Psychiatric Hospital (YPH). My training at PCRC consisted of assisting children in pre-k build social-emotional skills. I also facilitated group therapy with adolescents managing mood disorders and psychosocial stressors. I spent my second year of graduate school training at YPH. Through this training I gained experience working with young adults in an acute care setting managing mood disorders, thought disorders, developmental disabilities, substance use, and interpersonal & family concerns. After graduating from Fordham with my MSW, I was offered a clinical social work position across Yale's five inpatient psychiatric units. Throughout my time at YPH, I’ve been able to work with individuals, families, and groups, across the adolescent to older adult population. I began seeing individual clients through private practice once I received my LCSW. Here I found my passion for supporting and working with individual clients. By taking a strengths based, solution focused approach to therapy, I am able to meet my clients where they are and assist them with realizing their full potential in order to reach their goals. I offer support for adolescents & their families, adults, and elders. My specialties include; depression, anxiety, life transitions, substance use, interpersonal & family conflict, and career & school related stress. In our work together, we may use DBT & CBT informed practices as well as mindfulness & relaxation techniques. You'll learn how to build self esteem, improve communication & relationships, and experience growth. My primary purpose is to offer you a safe space, support, and compassion during this time. Please don't hesitate to reach out in a time of need.
