MEd, LPC, Somatic Experiencing Practitioner (SEP) Sarah McIntyre, PLLC
Specialties: Anxiety, Depression, Trauma, Infertility, Pregnancy, Prenatal, Postpartum

Introduction

I help clients understand how their physiology is impacting their mental health. Specifically, we look at the autonomic nervous system (fight, flight, and freeze responses) and work with these responses, however subtle they might be, to bring the body back into regulation. When your whole body is working in harmony, your mind finds greater ease and you feel more vitality. In sessions, I often ask clients what they are noticing in their body as they are talking about a particular experience. Noticing and allowing what your body wants to do (and often this is very subtle) is often the key to greater regulation. If you have any questions about somatic experiencing, feel free to reach out.
