Hi and Welcome! I am the Founder and Clinical Director of Sacred and Free, LLC. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor practicing in Pennsylvania. In addition to the treatment of a wide array of mood disorders I am a Certified Advanced Addiction Specialist, Certified Clinical Trauma Professional, and have additional specialty areas in grief and loss, infertility and donor conception, and the exploration of individual spirituality. I received my Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Temple University and Master of Science in Clinical and Counseling Psychology from The Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine where my studies focused on the use of evidenced-based treatment modalities. My training in osteopathic medicine afforded me experience with the brain-mind-body connection and the ability to teach it to my patients. I obtained a post-masters certification from Chestnut Hill College and focused on the treatment of trauma and bereavement. My experience has opened the door for extensive work on the mind-body- and soul connection in mental health and bereavement work. I have no religious affiliation and enjoy including exploration of individual spirituality for those who would like to incorporate these perspectives into their mental health work. I have extensive experience in providing clinical supervision and thoroughly enjoy working with other therapists. I offer this service through Sacred and Free, LLC. I use a person-centered individualized approach to treatment incorporating mixed modality technique as needed for the best quality treatment. I work with adults ages 23+ in individual, couples, and group settings. In addition to mental health and addiction counseling Sarah offers drug and alcohol evaluations as well as family therapy for families of addiction. While she is currently branching out of Montgomery County, PA and surrounding areas through online therapy services I will continue to serve the local communities surrounding counties with my accompanying therapeutic staff at Sacred & Free, LLC. “I wholeheartedly believe that it is a privilege to be allowed into your journey. It is a sacred gift to sit in the joys and the pains of another. Therefore, I consider it my responsibility to treat each moment we work together with compassion and grace. I genuinely care about every one of my clients and their progress. It is in this spirit that I choose to see a select group of clients to whom I can provide the best possible care.” -Sarah Humphreys, LPC, CAADC, CCTP
