Sarah is passionate about working with adults, adolescents and families dealing with all types of eating, mood and anxiety disorders. In addition, Sarah has significant experience working with clients struggling with self-harm, trauma, and issues related to relationships, perfectionism, stress and burnout, identity development, body image, spirituality and self-esteem. Sarah believes that the process of growth and healing requires a unique kind of strength and courage. Sarah's approach to therapy begins with creating a space of acceptance, honesty and respect where clients can feel safe to step into self-exploration and take risks in order to build self-awareness and create meaningful change in their lives. Sarah's work with clients integrates relational, trauma-informed, and mindfulness-based therapies, including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT). Sarah also integrates action-oriented, evidence-based therapies such as exposure and response prevention (ERP). Sarah earned her bachelor’s degree in French, with a minor in Corporate Strategy, from Vanderbilt University and her master’s degree in Counseling Psychology from Northwestern University, where she also trained at The Family Institute.
