Hi there! My name is Sarah and I have been working in the mental health field since 2015 in several capacities. I began my master's program at Alliant International University in Irvine, California in 2014 and began interning at Phoenix House located in Santa Ana, California in 2015. It was this opportunity that sparked my passion for treating those struggling with anxiety, depression, and addiction. Phoenix House is a 90 day residential facility in which I had the opportunity to provide group, individual, couples, and family therapy to those struggling with addiction. As a Marriage and Family Therapist, it is my belief that our problems do not exist in a vacuum and must be treated from a systemic and family lens. Thus, I find importance in including those most important to us, within the therapeutic process when appropriate. After graduating in 2016 with my Master's Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy, I moved back to Kansas where I began working in the child welfare system. I became a supervisor in child welfare in 2018 and remained in that position until 2021. In 2021 I left child welfare and joined a private hospital where I am currently facilitating group therapy for those struggling with substance use. Additionally, I have my own private practice where I treat those struggling with anxiety, depression, addiction, mood disorders, and so much more. If you are interested in seeking out individual therapy, you have already taken a big first step just by reading this introduction! If you would like to chat to see if my services are a good fit for you, I welcome you to email me at sarahfry@exhaleservices.com. I would be happy to set up a free 15 minute consultation with you!
