Introduction

On the outside you have it all together–you are the dependable one, a top performer at work or school, you appear calm, cool and collected–but on the inside you feel like your world is falling apart, like an emotional mess. You are so focused on caring for others and accomplishing all your goals, that you start to forget who you are and may even start neglecting your own needs. You may even call yourself a perfectionist while simultaneously feeling like an imposter. You struggle to say no and rarely ask for help for fear of letting others down or bothering them. You carry the weight of the world on your shoulders. The weight is leading you to feelings of anxiety, sadness, anger and moodiness… You know it’s time to understand where this constant striving comes from and how to find balance in your life. Picture yourself accomplishing your goals but also regaining a strong sense of who you are, what you need and want out of life. You might imagine feeling more peace and contentment…even feeling joy. Let me help you get there! AREAS OF EXPERTISE I am excited to work with tweens and teens (10 years of age and up) and adults on: Perfectionism & Stress Anxiety Depression Life Transitions & Adjustment Healthy Relationships Work-Life Balance Emotional Trauma TRAINING & EDUCATION Since graduating from Indiana University Bloomington in 2010, I have dedicated my professional life to working with clients in clinic, hospital and educational settings (K-12 and university education). I have a passion for students/learners of all ages, caregivers, educators, public servants and health care workers. I love helping my clients to set healthy boundaries and find balance in and between their work, school, and personal life. I can relate to this struggle, and the process of learning to manage it well, in my professional work and my personal life! My clients often gain improved control over perfectionism, imposter syndrome, assertiveness, emotional dysregulation, shame, emotional intelligence and experiences of emotional neglect and trauma. I take a balanced approach to therapy. My goal is to help you by using therapy approaches that work, while also showing my genuine compassion and acceptance for where you are in your personal journey. I will be gently direct when needed and laugh alongside you when needed! I am a strong Christian and I’m happy to bring spirituality into the session, if a client desires.
