Sara is a therapist and Nationally Certified Counselor, specializing in working with couples, women, educators and college students. Sara earned her degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Liberty University. Sara completed her internship at Johnson University's Counseling Center and Crossroads Mental Wellness Center in Knoxville. Her education also includes an undergraduate degree in Early Childhood Education from Johnson University. After teaching 12 years in the Knox County school system, Sara felt the calling to enter into full time counseling. Couples at any stage in their relationship, educators, and college students are passions of hers. Sara is trained in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) to support couples in communication and relational skills and Prepare and Enrich certified to provide premarital counseling. In addition, Sara is a Certified Clinical Partner Specialist (CCPS) through the Association of Partners of Sex Addicts Trauma Specialists (APSATS). She highly values her faith and honors that of her clients in session to the level they choose to do so.
