Hi, I am Sara and I am so excited to meet you! The decision to seek help is a brave step and I am so proud that you are here. I know that finding a therapist that feels right can be difficult, but I am here to let you know this process does not have to feel this way. I believe everyone deserves a safe place to be seen; encouraging individuals to take a step outside of their comfort zone to grow in any direction they desire. My hope is that together we can create your safe place and through a holistic approach, help you evolve. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who received both my Bachelors of Psychology (2016) and Masters in Social Work (2019) from North Carolina State University (Go Pack)! I have accumulated several years of experience through multiple levels of care to include psychiatric inpatient, residential treatment, and outpatient therapy; collaborating with medication management providers, school social workers, Department of Social Services, and an array of community based resources (intensive outpatient, day treatment, intensive in home, and partial hospitalization). I support and am open to working with individuals across all life spans however specialize in the treatment of adolescents to the young adult and adult population. I believe a strong therapeutic relationship is the motivator for change; pulling from an eclectic range of Evidence Based Practice to support in the development of a person centered treatment approach. You may find in our work together skills and resources from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Motivational Interviewing (MI), Circle of Security, and Solution Focused. I specialize in working with individuals with anxiety, depression, ADHD, mood disorders, life transitions, attachment and relational issues. In my free time, I love to spend quality time with my family and friends. This can be curling up on a cozy couch to binge watch our new favorite show or trying a new restaurant. Creating art, crafting, sewing, and embroidery is a passion of mine and I am confident you may find an item or two in our office! Lastly, I love to get lost in a book and maybe in the aisles at Target a time or two. Wherever this journey of therapy takes you, I am so glad you are here. You are never alone and we can be here to help. Let's take this first step together at Evolving Mindsets!
