Our practice is led by Sara Jones, a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner, lifelong equestrian, and Level 1 Natural Lifemanship® practitioner. Sara utilizes various therapeutic modalities including EMDR, CBT, DBT and mindfulness to help clients with trauma, relational issues, anxiety, and depression. She combines her medical expertise with the healing power of horses. Co-founder Elena Bradway, a lifelong horse enthusiast and successful business owner, is passionate about bringing the transformative benefits of equine-assisted therapy to the local community. What is Equine-Assisted Psychotherapy? Equine-assisted psychotherapy involves working with horses and a therapist to create a relationship that fosters emotional, mental, and physical well-being. Horses are highly intuitive animals, responding to human emotions and behaviors, making them ideal partners in therapy. Through guided interactions with our gentle and well-trained horses, clients can develop self-awareness, improve problem-solving skills, foster emotional regulation, build trust and meaningful connections and so much more. Whether you’re completely new to horses or an experienced equestrian, equine-assisted psychotherapy offers unique benefits for everyone. Beginners can experience the awe of connecting with a horse for the first time, discovering confidence and calmness through interaction. Experienced horse lovers can deepen their understanding of how horses reflect human emotions, gaining new insights into personal growth and relationships.
