I approach therapy with the understanding that many of our symptoms and struggles are normal human attempts to manage pain, loss, anxiety, and even difficult or overwhelming emotions. Together, we will use strategies that are helpful for navigating these struggles. My ultimate goal is that our work together will allow you to claim or reclaim a life that feels meaningful and fulfilling to you. We will collaborate together to address therapy goals that feel right for you in the context of your personal history and identity using evidence-based interventions. I draw on evidence-based strategies to help you build coping skills and transform your relationship with symptoms and struggles arising from grief, trauma, chronic pain, anxiety, and/or depression in a safe and supportive space. When appropriate, we can use EMDR to help heal from the impacts of trauma.
