Sara Brugioni is a LCSW in the state of Illinois, practicing for 15+ years. She holds an undergraduate degree in Social Work from Illinois State University as well as a Master’s in Social Work from Aurora University. Sara is also a PMH-C (Perinatal Mental Health - Certified) and has experience working with women with perinatal mood disorders and women experiencing infertility. Sara’s career began working in a therapeutic school as a family therapist in the south side of Chicago where she focused on in-home support for families in addition to seeing students individually and in groups. She later transitioned to a middle school social worker role, working with evidence-based curriculums such as Zones of Regulation, Social Thinking and Everyday Speech. After almost 10 years in the middle school, she transitioned into private practice focusing on women. Sara is a Perinatal Mental Health Certified Therapist. Sara has a passion for helping women navigate the challenges of women's mental health and reproductive mental health. Becoming and being a parent can come with many challenges. If you just aren't feeling like yourself after having a baby and want a safe, confidential and non-judgmental space to explore those feelings, Sara can be that clinician for you. Between infertility, pregnancy loss, perinatal mood and anxiety disorders and other isolating challenges, knowing when to reach out for support can be difficult but crucial. Sara has worked in schools, home and the private practice setting, all of which inform her lens of the world and approach toward her clients. Sara understands the unique challenges that life presents at different stages and offers a warm, non-judgmental space to work collaboratively toward her client’s goals.
