There are many experiences and moments in our lives that leave us helpless and in a state of distress. Are you experiencing a loss of a loved one? A stressful change in life or work? A strain or conflict in your marriage? A hard time stepping away from alcohol or substances? I am here to listen and help. I am passionate about listening actively to my clients and working together to help alleviate the distress in their lives. I work from a perspective that takes my clients as a whole person into account and not just a moment or situation that may be crossing their path. I offer individual/couple therapy and have experience working with adolescents and adults. My approach to counseling is one that involves addressing each client as a “Whole” from a biopsychosocial perspective. This perspective gives importance to not just the mind, but the body, environment, medical history, and experiences as well. I strive to encourage my clients to identify their areas of concern in a safe, calm, and welcoming environment. I have experience working with clients who struggle with trauma, grief/loss, anxiety, depression, substance abuse, and other life transitions. My goal is to encourage clients to feel safe and inspire hope through Emotion Focused Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and other mind-body interventions.
