Santiago earned his Master of Arts in Counseling at St. Edward’s University after achieving his Bachelor of Arts in Psychology at Southwestern University. Past clients, including adolescents and adults, turned to Santiago for help with anxiety disorders, depressive disorders, trauma, stress management, self-worth, grief and loss, adjustment disorders, gender and sexual identity, and relationship issues. For Santiago, providing a supportive space and guidance is important to help a client go from surviving life to living life. When working with clients, Santiago uses an integrative approach. Santiago applies Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Collaborative Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Therapy (SFT), and Eye-Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). Santiago’s goal is to work collaboratively with clients to help them grow and fulfill their ambitions, as well as provide a safe space for open expression. Santiago is available for in-person and telehealth sessions with adolescents (ages 12 – 18) and adults. In his free time, Santiago enjoys playing video games, watching horror movies, and spending time with friends and family.
