Introduction

Hello! My name is Sam (he/him/his) and I have been a Professional Counselor since 2018. I am a Korean-American who identifies as a Cisgender Gay Man. I am very passionate about working with clients at the intersection of BIPOC and Queer identities. I often work with clients 18+ on issues related to anxiety, trauma, eating disorders, and grief. Previously I have worked in programs that have served college students, cancer patients, caregivers, and people with HIV/AIDS. I was recently trained in EMDR, and have a background in mindfulness based therapies. Most of my clients will hear me talk about clarifying one's values, how to be more self compassionate, and that everyone deserves to take up space. I would love to learn more about you, so please feel free to schedule a free 15-minute consultation if you think I could be a good fit for your therapy journey. I am located in Chicago, and can provide telehealth therapy to anyone in Illinois or Ohio. I am in-network with BCBS (PPO, Blue Choice PPO, and Blue Choice Options), Aetna (PPO, POS, Choice, and CVS Health HMO), and Medicare Part B. For out-of-network insurance and self pay clients, I can provide you with a superbill to help you get reimbursed by your insurance company.
