Introduction

Hello! My name is Sammy Klinke and I am a Licenced Mental Health Counselor. I specialize in working with children and teens who are experiencing social, emotional, behavioral, and relational problems. My warm and caring nature provides a safe place for children to feel accepted and understood. I am dedicated to providing a nurturing space where children are able to process difficult feelings and experiences. I believe parents are a crucial element in a child's growth and success. Parenting can be hard, I am passionate about supporting parents through their child’s counseling process. My experience in the clinical setting and as a K-8 school counselor, I bring a unique lens working with children. I believe connecting home and school forces provides a foundation for student success. I utilize person-centered theory to ground my practice and I have advanced training in child-centered play therapy (CCPT). I build trust with my client by fully accepting, empathizing, and understanding them as they navigate their inner feelings and experiences.
