I approach therapy through a systemic model, looking at the client and their stuck points through an attachment-based, generational lens. Depending on the client and their unique needs, I like to integrate elements of Internal Family Systems (IFS), Bowenian family therapy, EFIT, CBT, and mindfulness. I believe we are complex, holistic beings that require a personalized treatment approach, one that is collaborative, strengths-based, and relational at its core. When we encounter grief, trauma, and/or one of life’s many inevitable transitions — expected or not — it’s not uncommon for parts of us to become fragmented and afraid. In many cases, our relationship to Self, a Higher Power, and/or others may come into question in our attempt to protect ourselves. Therapy offers a safe place to explore our pain, confusion, and doubt with curiosity and compassion. Throughout the process, I take the role of a guide, holding a flashlight to where my clients deem most necessary, always honoring their agency.
