Introduction

I believe the client makes the decisions in therapy and I am there to empower and encourage the client to be their best selves. I hope to help clients arrive to a better understanding of self, their troubling emotions and difficult life experiences to move forward in life. In my practice I have worked with clients concerns regarding but not limited to depression, anxiety, self-esteem, emotional concerns , post-traumatic stress, grief and loss, role changes, domestic violence, women's issues such as postpartum depression, life transitions, and substance abuse. I continue to learn new modalities and new coping strategies that inform my practice and how I work with clients. Currently I utilize a client centered strength based approach, cognitive behavioral therapy, and mindfulness to help my clients with the struggles they may face in daily life and working through past traumatic experiences. Therapy can be hard, it can be a lot of work to make changes or to discuss a traumatic experience you have dealt with, I want to make it as comfortable as possible. I strive to be an unbiased empathetic listener that is here to empower you! I’m excited to start building a therapeutic relationship and working towards reaching goals with you.
