Introduction

I believe that every person carries within them the full spectrum of the human experience—joy and sorrow, love and fear, resilience and struggle. My role is to create a space where all of it is welcome. As Henri Nouwen wrote, “For the compassionate person nothing human is alien; no joy and no sorrow, no way of living and no way of dying.” Empathy is at the heart of my work—an active recognition that our struggles, hopes, and longings are universal. Through that lens, I seek not only to support my clients but to honor the courage it takes to show up as they are. My approach is rooted in kindness, respect, and the relentless pursuit of the most effective, evidence-based practices. I specialize in treating ADHD, Oppositional Defiant Disorder, Reactive Attachment Disorder, Disruptive Mood Dysregulation Disorder (DMDD), Anxiety, and Depression (both unipolar and bipolar). Guided by cutting-edge research, I integrate Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), person-centered approaches, and behavioral analytics to meet the unique needs of each individual. I partner with children, adolescents, and their caregivers as they navigate the unpredictable terrain of growing up—a journey that is equal parts chaotic and extraordinary. My own experiences of feeling unheard and unseen as a child inspire my work. I know what it’s like to face challenges in silence, to hope someone will truly listen, and to be met instead with indifference or even cruelty. That is why I became a therapist: to be the steady guide I once longed for, to listen deeply, and to offer unwavering support to those in need. Each child deserves to feel seen, believed, and understood. In the therapy room, I aim to provide a sanctuary of safety and trust where healing begins—not because I offer all the answers, but because I believe in the transformative power of being fully present with another human being. In every session, my hope is to help my clients leave with more than just tools and strategies. I want them to walk away with a renewed sense of encouragement, self-esteem, and the belief that they are capable of facing life’s challenges with courage, confidence, and resilience.
