I am a clinical social worker with a wide range of experience. I describe myself simply as a trauma specialist. I understand that even taking the steps to search for a therapist can be overwhelming and anxiety inducing. I commend you for taking this initial step. I want you to know that my initial focus is on helping a client feel safe, and through that safety and rapport we begin the healing process. I have advanced training in the general field of traumatic stress as well as multiple treatment modalities. Even those clients who don't believe they have traumatic experiences in their lives tend to have emotional wounds. I believe that all people deserve and are capable of healing.
