Child and Adolescent Therapist Calm Minds Child Therapy, PLLC
Specialties: Child or Adolescent, School Issues, Behavioral Issues, Social Anxiety, Anxiety,

Introduction

Everyone wants to see their child or teen thrive. As we all know, kids and teens sometimes struggle with behavioral, learning, and mental health concerns and need extra support. I am passionate about using Child-Centered Play Therapy techniques with 4-11 year olds and coaching parents. I also tailor my techniques and modalities to build rapport with pre-teens/adolescents and provide person centered counseling. I have earned both my undergraduate and graduate degrees in counseling. In addition, I have worked with children and adolescents for 17 years in various educational settings. I recently completed a Child-Centered Play Therapy Certificate with a Neurorelational Emphasis. A bit about me...I love spending time with family, my adorable dog Bella, and traveling! I've lived a significant portion of my adult life overseas and have been to 30 countries. I love meeting new people. I provide parents a free 15 minute phone consultation to hear more about your child and explain more about how therapy is conducted to see if we are a good fit to work together. I am only accepting private pay clients at this time, so I do not take insurance, but can provide you a receipt for possible reimbursement purposes. I look forward to hearing from you. (I will not be involved in custody disputes.) LPC Associate supervised by LPC Supervisor/RPT Supervisor/CCPT Supervisor Meredith Ivey
