Introduction

A lighthouse is a structure with a warning light, a beacon, that’s purpose is to help sailors’ safely navigate the obstacles at sea and rocky coastlines, through darkness and fog. Lighthouses are often viewed as iconic symbols of guidance, strength, safety, and resilience. Their key function is to increase the sailors’ level of awareness of themselves and their surroundings as they navigate the waters. What if the lighthouse’s beacon was turned off? Take a moment and imagine what it must be like for a sailor navigating their vessel through potentially rough, dangerous seas, amidst the darkness, with no guidance. Have you ever felt like life is like that sometimes? Have you ever felt lost, scared, overwhelmed, and unsure of how to navigate the obstacles and challenges of life? Perhaps you feel like you have lost sight of who you are and what you want out of life and that is why you are here. With you being the navigator of your ship, let’s light that beacon and let it guide you back from the fog, darkness, and rough waters into the safe harbor. I am here to accompany you on your healing journey and help you find the strength and resilience that you have inside. I am a seasoned Licensed Clinical Social Worker, with years of experience working with anxiety, stress management, depression, emotional regulation, boundary setting, coping with life-role transitions, trauma, grief/loss, chronic illness, caregiver burnout, and end-of-life issues. My approach to therapy is integrative in nature. I consider the whole person by focusing on physical, mental, emotional, relational, and spiritual wellbeing. I utilize various evidence-based therapies, such as CBT, ACT, Solution-Focused, and Motivational Interviewing to name a few. Additionally, I incorporate holistic approaches into sessions, including Breathwork, Mindfulness techniques, and Meditation. I understand how difficult life can be to navigate at times. I take the time to get to know you and create a calm and relaxed safe space, where you can speak freely about whatever it is that’s going on. Together we will get your beacon lighting up the way, guiding you through the obstacles of life and back into calmer waters.
