I work with adolescents and adults as they work through issues related to mood, anxiety, grief, sexuality and relationship issues. I believe in the importance of finding satisfaction in your relationships. In my view, the majority of mood symptoms stem from relational issues and the way we interact with people. Positive, satisfying connections to people is fundamental to mental health. I work collaboratively with my clients to figure out their interpersonal style and what may or may not be working for them in the way they are relating to the people they care about. My goal is to work together to find solutions that make sense to you. I recently retired from Rhode Island College where I worked for nearly 11 years both as a psychologist and as the Interim Director. As a result, I have a special place in my heart for young adults who are passing through the many complex crossroads defining that stage of life. I also welcome adults of any age who are going through their own transitions.
