There is a lot of pressure in today’s world to feel good, to handle our troubles on our own. We are led to believe that the signs of health and success is the absence of struggle, that we are weak if we reach out for help. And yet we all struggle to some degree. If struggle is a part of life, then I believe we must also contain the potential to struggle well. To struggle takes strength and courage. If you are reading this, you have already made your first step towards discovering your potential. With 5 years of experience in the mental health field and 3 years professional counseling experience, the greatest strength I have to offer is that of genuine connection, and a safe space to realize your potential to struggle well. A place to discover new and creative ways to respond to suffering and struggles without giving up what you value most in life. I love working with teenagers, 20-somethings, and adults of all ages. Born and raised in Haywood County, NC, I am well attuned to the unique struggles of individuals and families in the WNC region. It would be a great privilege to join you on your path to learning how to struggle well.
