My name is Roxanne M. Garza, and I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in California. I am a wife of a retired Firefighter and Air Force Veteran as well as a mother of 2 kids. I have over 15 years of experience, having worked in the counseling field since 2006. I have experience conducting both individual and group therapy, in-office, and telehealth (online) with clients undergoing treatment for depression, anxiety, trauma, and high stress jobs. I also specialize in helping families and individuals needing therapy for relationship issues, life adjustment issues, and those wanting to work on their personal growth. Have you been feeling overwhelmed or burnt out? Do you feel like you just cannot get a break or find someone who "gets it?" Do you feel like you are stuck and not the best version of yourself? Have you been living on autopilot, taking care of your responsibilities and obligations; be it family, friends, or work? I get it. Managing day to day things/stressors of life and or work can feel like too much at times. I can help provide insight into how to become or get back to the best version of yourself. As someone with a high stress job, like a first responder, or as the spouse of someone with a high stress job, trauma impacts you on some level, whether directly or in the form of your spouse carrying their experiences home to you and your family. Also being the parent that everything falls on can feel overwhelming at times and I understand how difficult this can be. I believe my similar lived experiences make me your aligned therapist. My clients walk away from therapy feeling validated, supported, and confident in themselves and the skills they have learned. You can expect a safe and judgement-free space where I will help you gain insight into struggles you may be facing and help you navigate your way back to the life you desire. I like to assist my clients with setting realistic goals for themselves while also gently supporting them. My approach is warm and empathic while empowering my clients to become the best versions of themselves. I meet my clients where they are and work collaboratively to discover strategies and solutions that work best for you. When we work together, I can help you deal with difficult transitions of life through a lens that considers not only you, but also your community and circumstances that you are surrounded with. I am currently paneled with Aetna, Optum and Cigna. I also take private pay and accept Health Savings Account. I am happy to provide a super-bill (A Statement for Insurance Reimbursement) for possible reimbursement, depending on your plan. Please check with your insurance provider. I look forward to working with you to help you heal, obtain insight for personal growth, and become the best version of you. Please call me for a free 15-minute consultation.
