Together we will work to increase and/or develop insight and awareness into repressed emotions, defense mechanisms, and identify recurring patterns in thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. I am an EMDRIA trained EMDR therapist but also utilize CBT, DBT, and MBCT approaches to help develop healthier coping skills. Unprocessed trauma, unconscious emotions, and a lack of coping strategies can often manifest as anxiety, depression, or PTSD/C-PTSD. Many of us come from a generation where we were never taught how to process or deal with our emotions. Through my professional experience, I have developed empathy for those working to break through generational trauma.
