Roussel Javier is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and certified by the NBCC who has over a decade of experience in human services, working closely with the elderly population for 9+ years, and 5+ years in mental healthcare serving children, young adults, adults, couples, and families. She enjoys working with individuals who are dealing with different challenges that life brings, with the goal of building their resilience and resources in the process. Roussel studied at Colorado Christian University with M.A. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. She is an EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing) therapist and Certified Clinical Trauma Professional (CCTP) who is highly dedicated and passionate about attachment and trauma-informed care. She uses CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy), Mindfulness, Person-Centered, Existential, and eclectic approaches. She is also a PCIT (Parent-Child Interaction Therapy) provider for parents who need support in dealing with their children’s behavioral issues. She also believes that by providing solutions that only deal with physical illness, it will result in a continuous cycle, and only provides a temporary solution. As we are composed of body, soul, and spirit, any mental or physical health issues must be approached in all aspects in order to provide more stable and long-term solutions. In this light, she utilizes faith-based approaches in therapy where she offers praying and integrating meditation of the Word of God in the session or as part of their homework practice. She is committed to helping her clients navigate their way toward healing and achieving their goals in therapy. Her objective is to be able to help you, the client, improve your overall quality of life. She is ready to walk with you on this journey. Book your appointment today.
