EDUCATION: I am a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate in the state of Texas under the supervision of C. Huston McComb, Jr. I received my Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from University of Houston and Master’s degree in Counseling from Houston Baptist University. I have experience working with women, young adults with a focus on anxiety, depression, stress management, self-worth/self-esteem, women’s issues, relationship concerns and coping skills. I approach clients with a person-centered perspective and use a variety of modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mindfulness techniques, and Solution Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) to meet each client’s needs. Sometimes we can’t hear what we’re saying unless someone else reflects it back and that’s where “talk therapy” comes into play. I believe in providing a space that is safe, non judgemental and is met with compassion in order for you to feel comfortable in sharing your thoughts, feelings and fears.
