Introduction

With a passion since childhood for coming alongside the hurting, I completed my counseling degree at Missouri Baptist University to journey with others professionally. While in my first setting with Generations Counseling to founding Renew Counseling STL, as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) I consider it a privilege to serve clients in the unique place they find themselves. In this life, all encounter unforeseen difficulties and obstacles. I strive to provide a sacred and safe space offering unconditional acceptance and dignity as clients unpack challenges and overcome hurdles. Employing a holistic approach, I address the interconnected facets of the human experience—physical, emotional, social, mental, and spiritual—through assessments, diverse therapeutic techniques, and strategies to facilitate health and healing. I aim to foster self-discovery of one’s core needs, distinctive hard-wiring, and personal life-shaping experiences unique to each client’s story. Setting healthy goals and determining solutions is done collaboratively with my clients to facilitate personal transformation where life is stuck. With over 30-plus years of experience serving children, teens, and families in various roles, I currently work with adolescents and women of all ages. I specialize in helping preteen/teens grappling with general anxiety, social anxiety, depression, ADD/ADHD, social skills, emotional regulation, grief/loss, family changes, and more. Having compassion for parents and understanding their many challenges, I provide them with tools to support their child’s treatment process and the parent-child relationship. Additionally, I journey with women to help strengthen their roots and facilitate flourishing in every stage and season of life, addressing concerns such as anxiety, depression, grief/loss, career/life transitions, parenting, marriage, and spiritual growth.
