We offer a variety of services for all ages! Here is a bit about our clinicians: Jessica Castillo, owner and founder of Root to Rise, Inc., is a Licensed Professional Counselor and Registered Play Therapist™. She earned her Master of Arts degree in Forensic Psychology from the University of Denver in 2011. Jessica started her career in community mental health where she attended a play therapy training and fell in love with the art of play. She worked with children and adolescents in the school setting from 2015-2022. Jessica completed a play therapy certification from the University of Wyoming in 2018. She currently serves on the board for the Wyoming Association for Play Therapy. While Jessica provides play therapy she enjoys a diverse caseload working with a variety of ages including adults. She offers Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART) which is a form of eye movement therapy utilized to help process trauma and other difficult emotions. Her passion resides in helping people have the courage to be their true selves, while fostering confidence and finding inner peace. Tina Taylor, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, has worked with children and adolescents for over 28 years in many different capacities. Tina is currently working as a School Social Worker for Sweetwater County School District #1, and practices part-time. Her passion continues to be working with children and adolescents- helping them to learn how to manage their thoughts, feelings and behavior, in our difficult and ever-changing world. She believes that all children deserve to feel safe, happy, and supported. She works with individuals who struggle with ADHD, anger management, substance abuse issues, anxiety, and/or depression ages 5-18. Christine Peterson is a Provisionally Licensed Social Worker. She earned her Master of Social Work degree from Louisiana State University in May 2024. Christine has completed the foundational skills training for Synergetic Play Therapy and is pursuing her full certification. She also offers ART to support healing and growth. She enjoys working with a variety of ages, including adults. She uses a nervous system lens to make sense of all behavior. Her passion lies in teaching clients how to use the power of their own nervous system to regulate and move through past trauma to allow for healing and growth. Tonya Follum obtained her Bachelor of Arts degree in Special Education from the University of Wyoming and is pursuing a masters degree in Counseling at the University of Wyoming/Casper. Currently, she is completing an internship at Root to Rise and is employed as a School Counselor for Sweetwater County School District #1. Her approach emphasizes empathy, active listening, and collaboration with parents to create tailored interventions that support both the child's needs and the family's overall well-being. While concentrating her focus on play therapy, Tonya is also interested in learning more about therapy for all ages, and sees adult clients as well.
