Introduction

With over 20 years of experience in the field of Mental Health, I have offered individual, family, and group psychotherapy across diverse settings, including inpatient psychiatric hospitals, residential treatment facilities, partial hospitalization programs, and outpatient mental health clinics. Notably, I have acquired and shared my expertise with esteemed institutions such as Rady Children's Hospital's Trauma Counseling Program, Community Research Foundation's Crisis Centers, Sharp Mesa Vista Hospital's Eating Disorder Program, Orange County Mental Health, the Department of Veteran Affairs (VA) Caregiver Support Program, Naval Medical Center San Diego's PTSD and First Episode Psychosis Programs, and Kaiser Permanente's Mental Health and Wellness Center. I graduated from San Diego State University's School of Social Work (MSW) program in 2002. Since 2007, I have been licensed (LCSW#24137) by the California Board of Behavioral Sciences to practice therapy. In 2013, I was designated Board Certified Diplomate (BCD#58780) in Clinical Social Work by The American Board of Examiners in Clinical Social Work. And, in 2022, I was licensed (LICSW #LW60725469) by the Washington State Department of Health. Throughout my career, the evidence-based therapies in which I have been trained and successfully incorporate in my practice to address symptoms and stressors include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and Interpersonal Psychotherapy (IPT). I specialize in anxiety and mood management, rebuilding self-confidence, and stress management during life transitions. I approach individual therapy collaboratively to effectively address your personal challenges and goals. With your input, I conscientiously take the pace that brings you the most benefit, using nonjudgmental support combined with therapeutic feedback and guidance. Overall, I am a warm and genuine solution-focused therapist, and I welcome your inquiries regarding my therapy practice and virtual scheduling.
