Introduction

If you are experiencing anxiety, depression, or stress, I am here to help. I have helped clients with military unique stressors, combat trauma, sexual assault trauma, nightmares, hyper-vigilance, irritability, and anger. I am trained in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing), which is an evidenced based treatment for PTSD and trauma. Besides helping clients overcome their trauma and PTSD, I have also assisted clients with anxiety, depression, family issues, life stress, parenting challenges, and men's issues. Growing up as a military brat, my parents both served in the United States Air Force. I attended Florida State University, majoring in psychology. Afterwards, I graduated from the University of South Florida with a Masters degree in Mental Health Counseling. I became a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in 2015. Personally, I have been married for 13 years and have four children, ages 11, 8, 5, and 2. I have 11 years of counseling experience, with 6 of those being with the active duty and veteran military population. The other 5 years were spent providing counseling to adolescents and teenagers with the goal of reunifying them back with their families. Since starting my private practice, I have served adults and teenagers to assist with a variety of concerns, such as depression, anxiety, stress, parenting challenges, faith-based struggles, emotion regulation, communication, and trauma. My clients would describe me as empathetic, compassionate, and transparent. As a therapist, I acknowledge that it takes courage to reach out for help. I will meet my clients where they are at and discuss goals together. Please reach out to me today by clicking "Contact" at the top of the page or emailing me at robertmayorLMHC@gmail.com. I am happy to schedule a free 15 minute consultation.
