Introduction

Welcome! I'm Rivka, a licensed art therapist specializing in depression, bipolar, anxiety, and complex trauma with teens and adults. As someone who is LGBTQIA+ and grew up in a conservative community, I deeply understand the weight of living inauthentically. Navigating gender identity or sexuality within a religious context can be difficult, and often brings about experiences of shame, denial, and repression. These experiences can ultimately lead to feelings of low self-worth, resentment, anxiety, and depression. I want you to know that it is possible to feel better, and work towards creating a life that is unapologetically yours. I often work with clients on feeling more like your authentic self, increasing your self-esteem, improving communication and boundaries, developing self-compassion, and learning to trust your own judgment and decisions. In addition to art-making, I enjoy utilizing meditation and breathwork as tools to support you during sessions. As your therapist I work to provide a comfortable and safe environment where you can feel challenged, supported, and encouraged to show up as the most authentic version of yourself.
