My name is Rick Rothman and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in North Carolina and in New Jersey. I strongly believe in treating the person as a unique person given their individual needs. I primarily practice cognitive-behavior therapy utilizing an eclectic style and often use anecdotes, paradoxes, and especially humor in order to enhance, educate, and assist in reaching each person’s goals. I have a specialty in treating Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder, Panic Disorders, and Anxiety and am a Certified Clinical Anxiety Treatment Professional. While I specialize in treating those suffering OCD, Panic, and Anxiety, I am equally proud of the successes I’ve had in helping those with Adjustment Disorders, Stress Management, Depression, Relationship Difficulties, and Family Concerns. My clinical experience includes individual, marital/couple, family, and group therapy of adolescents, adults, and older adults. As a husband and parent, I understand and empathize with the difficulties that many of us face in our day-to-day lives. I hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from the University of Georgia and a Master’s Degree in Social Work from Fordham University. I am a member of the National Association of Social Workers and am a certified school social worker. In addition to working with clients, I am certified to provide Clinical Supervision and training to clinical social work trainees and to those seeking LCSW licensure. I have been a Social Worker for over 25 years and have been in private practice for over 12 years. I offer experience having worked as both a clinical provider and administrator in private practice, hospital, partial care, and long-term care settings.
