Rick Harrell is a native Memphian and proud graduate of The University of Memphis. After earning his Bachelor of Arts Degree, Rick worked in the Criminal Justice System as a Probation Officer working with adult and teen offenders during his tenure. After 11 years of working in the Criminal Justice System, Rick continued his education and completed a Master’s of Science Degree in Counseling Psychology in 1999. Rick is a Licensed Professional Counselor in the State of Tennessee, and a National Board Certified Counselor. He is currently pursuing a Doctorate in Behavioral Health at Freed-Hardeman University. In 2000, Rick and his wife became owners of Barris and Associates, an Anger Management and Domestic Violence program that was previously owned by the late Dr. Bradley P. Barris. Rick has continued to offer counseling to couples, youth, and individuals that were court ordered or seeking services voluntarily.
