We all have emotions and difficult memories that can sometimes go neglected and unseen, leaving us feeling alone and overwhelmed yet unclear as to why. Over time this can lead to depression, anxiety, and poor health, distorting our experience of life on a daily basis. As an experiential and relational therapist, my top priority is to help clients feel safe, seen, heard, and understood. Our work together will go beyond talking about feelings and narratives, which can certainly help but often does not create lasting change. What moves us towards change is when we allow ourselves to uncover and feel, moment by moment, what is actually happening underneath our words, stories and intellect. That is where the slowing down begins, and we start to have a new experience. My approach is active, engaged, and open. My love and passion for this work is rooted in a variety of disciplines which include Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy (AEDP), attachment theory, affective neuroscience, somatic focused approaches, eastern practices and mindfulness. All support the research that our brain's wiring can change, that we can grow, thrive and turn our lives around- no matter what. I offer the flexibility of both in-person and online therapy.
