We don't get to choose how our story starts but we do get to choose how we continue to write it. Sometimes we face periods of life disconnected from meaningful relationships and swirling in past or present pain and hurt. We may struggle with symptoms of trauma resulting in depression anxiety and irritability. We may struggle with our body image and believe acceptance is found in a particular body size or number on the scale. We may face feeling unsafe in the world and deal with bouts of panic. At its core we all want to be known, loved, safe, and accepted. If this is not your story you can learn how to write it. I can help you start a new chapter by focusing on techniques that address both the mind and body. I use somatic and cognitive interventions to help people change how emotions/thoughts are stored in their body and organized in their brain. I help people desensitize their experiences of trauma through EMDR. I believe one of the most healing and powerful parts of treatment is the therapeutic relationship. I invite others into a journey based on acceptance, kindness, and validation. I work in a mindful nonjudgmental way. I want you to know what it is like to be safely vulnerable. My heart is for your healing.
