Introduction

Renee graduated from Regis University with a Masters degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. She is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), National Certified Counselor (NCC), a Certified Addiction Counselor III (CACIII), Certified Sex Addiction Therapist (CSAT), a Certified Multiple Addiction Therapist (CMAT), a Trained Emotion Focused Couples therapist (EFT), and an EMDR practitioner. Additionally, Renee is a member of the National Association of Addictive Professionals (NAADAC), the International Institute for Trauma and Addiction Professionals (IITAP), and is a National Certified Counselor (NCC). She has been working with individuals and couples, with multiple addictions and co-occurring disorders since 2008. Renee received her clinical training in sexual addiction directly from leaders in the field. Renee utilizes Dr. Patrick Carnes 30 tasks model for treating sex and pornography addiction and the betrayed partner, and EMDR and Detur models for treating Trauma and Triggers. Today Renee maintains her clinical practice at Trauma Recovery Counseling Services, LLC. She is committed to providing clients in the community an environment of comfort and safety to achieve healing and or Recovery. She is accepting, compassionate, and knowledgable at navigating barriers to change.
