Specialties: Neuropsychological Evaluation, Autism Evaluation, Toddler/Early Childhood Evaluation, Projective/Performance-Based Testing, School Observation and Consultation,

Introduction

My major field of expertise is in clinical psychology with a specialization in neuropsychological evaluation as well as child and family therapy. I am known for my expertise in neuropsychological evaluation as well as child, family, and broader systemic interventions for individuals who present with a variety of complex, inter-related social-cultural and neurological needs. I have a particular interest in the intersection of gender diverse and neurodiverse populations. I assess neurodivergent thinkers, feelers, and learners, such as individuals who have “unique or neurodiverse learning styles” that can produce strengths and also underlie challenges with executive functioning, social skills/interpersonal functioning, emotion regulation, academics, language/communication, and self-esteem. In addition to the assessment of learning disabilities and differences, I specialize in neurodevelopmental differences including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) as well as the learning and social-emotional difficulties associated with mood, anxiety, and trauma-related diagnoses. I am known for my expertise in assessing the overlap between neurodevelopmental differences and psychiatric challenges, including psychosis. In addition to the evaluation of Autism from toddlerhood through young adulthood, I have specialized training and expertise with projective/psychological assessment (e.g. The Rorschach Inkblot Test). I am a licensed psychologist in Massachusetts and Utah. I received my B.A. from Boston College and my Psy.D. from William James College. I completed my internship at the Huntsman Mental Health Institute (HMHI), formerly University Neuropsychiatric Institute (UNI), an American Psychological Association (APA) accredited program in Salt Lake City, UT and my postdoctoral fellowship at Cambridge Health Alliance, a Harvard Medical School teaching hospital in Boston, MA. Prior to opening my own practice, I worked for four years as a pediatric neuropsychologist at Neuropsychology and Education Services for Children and Adolescents (NESCA) in Newton, MA. While the majority of my current professional work is focused on providing neuropsychological evaluations and educational consultations, I continue to provide individual or family therapy to a small number of clients in my clinical practice. I dedicate time for teaching and supervision as an ongoing Teaching Associate in the Department of Psychiatry at Cambridge Health Alliance/Harvard Medical School. I provide weekly clinical supervision and co-teach the foundations of family therapy seminar for child and adolescent psychiatry fellows as well as psychology and social work trainees.
